This course will cover basic appliance trouble shooting and cover ways to make a low cost repair versus replacing with a new unit. This class will also cover the basic of pressures and temperatures as it applies to Freon.


About the Instructor – Don Willard

Don is an NAA certified advanced instructor, speaker and technical trainer with over 25 year of technical on-site maintenance experience and 24 years of professional teaching experience in the multi-housing industry. He is certified CAMT by the National Apartment Association and certified by the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) in building maintenance. Don was named TAA and NAA CAMT of the Year in 1996 and as an Apartment Association of Greater Dallas “Legend of Education” in 2004. He has served on the NAA taskforce as subject matter expert and program developer for many of the CAMT, NALP, CAM, CAPS programs.

Scott is a founding partner of US Housing Consultants and Inspect Check Software. He has worked with owners and managers of affordable housing for more than 20 years, finding creative ways to work out non-compliance issues with HUD and Tax Credit issues ranging from physical inspection issues to compliance matters. Scott is well known within the industry for developing new and innovative solutions to prevent and correct non-compliance, and is known as a leading voice on HUD REAC inspections, having presented at hundreds of conferences and events since 2006.
